Great mood and creative ideas at the CHIO Aachen Hackathon

They have come from Leipzig, from Dresden and of course from the Aachen region, there’s even a purely Chinese team taking part: The first CHIO Aachen Hackathon, which is being jointly organised by the CAMPUS and the digitalHub Aachen, got underway on Thursday.

The mood was already fantastic on the first day, the participants are seeking the exchange, presenting ideas, casting some of them aside too, new solutions are being developed and checked for their feasability. There is a concentrated, creative atmosphere, the lounge character of the indoor hall enhances the relaxed ambiance, there is no sign that horses were cantering around here just a few days ago. The DJ, David Lulley, is playing records on Thursday evening, it is 2.30 in the morning when the last participants turn off their notebooks, before picking up where they left off the next morning. Tomorrow on Saturday afternoon the participants will present their pitch for the best ideas for the digital further development of the CHIO Aachen to a star-studded jury. In total, prize money to the value of 10,000 Euros is up for grabs.
