The “Family Day” has become a fixed date in the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS calendar and will be taking place this year on Sunday, August 24th – as part of the German Youth Championships. On this day, the CHIO Aachen CAMPUS not only offers young aspiring riders the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on what is probably the most famous equestrian grounds in the world, but also a lot of attractions for the whole family.

The sports program is designed with the youngest riders in mind and offers a riding competition in walk, trot and canter parallel to the exciting decisions at the German Youth Championships. In addition to hobbyhorsing, in which movements from show jumping and dressage are imitated with hobbyhorses, the young talents can also show what a good figure they cut on the right pony or horse in a lead rein class – if you want, you are also welcome to take this test in costume.

When the grounds are dominated by the youngest equestrian talents, a colorful supporting program of sports and hands-on activities awaits participants and visitors of all ages. Of course, CHIO Aachen mascot Karli will be stopping by on this day. There will also be a bouncy castle area and many other diverse offers for the whole family – and all free of charge.

Due to the German Youth Championships taking place at the same time, there will be no regional youth show jumping competitions this year.
